DESCRIPTION:Wednesday night cyclocross races are back at Hardwood starting September 11th to October 23rd 2024. \nWhether a returning or new rider\, an experienced or new racer\, we welcome you to the Hardwood Wednesday Night Cyclocross Races. You can enter just one race\, do a few\, or the whole series. We welcome all ages and abilities. \n\nSingle Night Entry is open online until 1:00 pm Wednesday.\nThere is no entry after 1:00 pm Wednesday. \nCourse Details\nThe course is a mix of grass\, sand\, hard-pack dirt\, and double track ski trails. Racers will ride multiple laps of the approximately 3km course. Course width and length is increased over previous years to allow safe passing if required.  It will test the skills of all levels of riders. \nRider Sign in/Number Pickup/Timing Chip Pickup will be at the Finish Line beginning at 5:00 pm. As outlined in the memo on July 31\, the Competition Development program is changing\, and we will be pilot this beginning in January. \nCandidates must receive the recommendation of their Provincial or Territorial Association (P/TSO’s). The P/TSO’s are encouraged to prioritize coaches that are identified for the 2025 Canada Summer Games and that have taken some Multi-Sport Competition Development modules. The Multi-Sport modules are generally offered online by your Provincial Coaching Association.  \nRegistration:  \nEligible candidates must complete the application form (English or French) and make payment no later than January 8\, 2024. Candidates will receive confirmation as registration is received. \nSkills and Tactics Theory and Training to Race courses will be delivered every month in both English and French (minimum 5 participants required). If coaches are currently registered within the LMS they will receive a notification when any new course is added and can then register. \nContent Specific Training for Learning Facilitators\nAs we want to continue to build coaching capacity across the country\, Cycling Canada will be organizing a Content Specific Learning Facilitator Training on November 28 and 29 over Zoom lead by Paul Jurbala Master Coach Developer. Coach candidates must be a Community Trained or Comp-Intro Certified to take the training. Coaches will also have to take Make Ethical Decision (MED) and Learning Facilitator Core Training prior to attending. A French Core training will be delivered in the Spring of 2024\, more details to follow. \nPlease contact us if you need any assistance to identify what workshops your coaches need to complete in order to be certified or to take part at the Content Specific Learning Facilitator Training. \nWhat is a Learning Facilitator: Learning Facilitator is an experienced coach trained to develop\, support\, and challenge coaches in training. DESCRIPTION:Registration closes end of day each Wednesday at 23:59. No onsite registration \nSinlge Day Registration: $30*\n* Registration fees do not include tax or online processing charges (added at checkout) \nNovember 5: Perth An Ontario Provincial license or UCI Race License are required in order to race the series.  Individuals can purchase up to 3 single day permits for non series registration.  Quebec riders without a 2023 UCI race license can purchase an Ontario Provincial Race License during registration to participate in the series. Riders from other provinces (and outside Canada) must have a UCI Race License issued from their Provincial/Territorial Cycling Association or National Cycling Federation to be eligible to participate. \nCyclocross categories differ from regular road and mountain bike UCI categories since the international season crosses into the next year.
