The curriculum has 5 levels of adaptability to meet the needs of the participants’ skill level. Skills that are developed through this curriculum of game-based activities include but are not limited to helmet & bike check\, braking\, ready position\, turning/cornering\, front-wheel lifts\, tilts & dismounts\, one-hand riding & partner riding. \nTeam Valley Velo is a Hamilton based road and track racing team that develops cyclists in a positive environment using knowledgeable coaches and leads experienced in decades-long cycling rides and races. This workshop focuses on having participants design a practice that applies to MTB\, BMX\, Road\, Recreational Riding\, or Youth Programming. Lastly\, this workshop reflects on the Long-Term Athlete Development stages and the considerations of utilizing this model when designing a practice. The Cycling Practice Planning course is an excellent workshop for coaches intending to work within community & recreational settings. \nOC Refund Policy: \nIf the course is cancelled by Ontario Cycling a 100% refund including CCN fees will be issued. \nIf a participant withdraws from the course more than 14 days before\, they are eligible for a full refund minus CCN fees. \nIf withdrawing between 7 and 14 days before a course\, they are eligible for a 50% refund minus CCN fees. \nThere will be no refunds if participants need to withdraw within 7 days of the course taking place. \n\nRegistration
